a day in the life

part 8

so we went to magic mountain

we were promptly greeted by some long lines

seeing as how it was the first day of spring break, they were really long lines

i had a lot of pictures of us waiting in line. so many in fact that i'm going to put another one

odd things started to happen in line

personally, i really have no idea what they were thinking

dan started to loose it

then i remembered i had brought my rubber duckie along!

unfortunately he was thoroughly mistreated

we bought a couple of those "souvenir" cups which came with handy holders that attached to belts. it was a dream come true for thomas

bryan enjoyed the drinks as well

log jammer was an awesome ride with all five of us jamming one log. we were very wet after all that log jamming

get it?

here dan uses bryan to help dry his sweater a.k.a. the passion of the haut

to much glee we also noticed there was a ride named after nathan

in line for colossus thomas got thirsty again

bryan got thirsty again too

after the ride we found bryan's long lost identical twin

unfortunately though, dan fell off one of the rides and died

we also went on goliath. this is the only picture of it i could get

another really fun ride of the evening was a ride called something like "jet streamer" or something. we liked the title logjammer 2 better though. but in another unfortunate accident thomas lost his glasses on the ride. he was mighty sad at this

bryan quickly found him some new ones though

after dinner, bryan, for some reason unbeknownst to me, began to contemplate existance

this lead to a long discussion in which bryan and thomas figured out the following:
"we began discussing the existance of a unified field theory-that is, a formula that describes how every piece of matter in the universe effects everything else. through this theory, from the initial status of the universe everything that happens throughout all of time is bound to happen, will irrevocably happen, and was predestined to happen. in other words, life is present, we are but a system of the universe; our actions are destined...we have no true control. secondly, consciousness is an illusion; we are cognizant because that's how the initial state of the universe set us to be, but we will make any final decision not because we can debate and have free will, but because that's what the initial conditions of the universe dictate"

thus in the end we realized life has no meaning

therefore, we have no free will and our actions are preordained...no culpability here

soon though the day came to a close and we wisely decided that dan wouldn't drive

but we decided we would go on one more ride before we left

we all agreed it was one of the best days ever though (even dan who somewhere in the day magically showed up again, alive). altough when we walked out we realized that we hadn't really been at six flags but "six fla." maybe one day we'll visit six flags
